María Marí
Gifted by an early talent for drawing and painting, María Marí Murga has entered through the front door into the World of Art. She studied History of Art at the University of Barcelona, graduated at the Art and Design Center of Barcelona La Massana , and the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy.

Firmly committed to her classical training, young artist Marí bet none other than the birthplace of Italian Renaissance, Florence. In that city, she completed a challenging three year painting diploma, concerning human figure, anatomy and perspective, absorbing avidly every daily training lessons at the Academy, dedicated to the continuance of the italian master painter Pietro Annigonni.
Her fascination with the individual, the possibility to investigate through the human face in the depths of the soul, led her to specialize in portrait. Tireless pursuer of Beauty stroke by stroke, Marí's talent has been recognized in Madrid through Fernando Durán Art Dealers, where her equestrian paintings are having good reception in show.

Marí has had exhibitions and harvested excelent critiques in Florence, Madrid, Rome and London. Currently, she is working between London and Madrid. Marí has shown her works in London's Cork Street Mayfair, which is propably the most prestigious street for art in Europe.





Mar still lives transform the captured technology of the real into an amazing spectrum of colors that emerge as burning crystallized magma contrasting chiaroscuro backgrounds. The dark of Caravaggio or the tradition of Spanish realism to Antonio Lopez, is sensed in her compositions, where she reinterprets the genre in a personal eclecticism of pictorial memory which always shines further in her magnificent art.

Marí knows that painting requires effort, sacrifice and renounciation. From there she exercises with demands, rigor and consistency. The result is that her work contrasts refinement of settings with determination and firmness of stroke. Marí has burst with humility and determination in the ever complex and atypical art market.
